NYFW – Tadashi Shoji “Ready-To-Wear”

You can read this post listening to my NYFW playlist on Spotify.

Today I attended my first show of this F/W season, the Ready-To-Wear collection of Tadashi Shoji on New York Fashion Week, this runway started my calendar of fashion shows of this crazy week in the  city. Tadashi Shoji first collection was launched in 1982 in Los Angeles, CA and in 2007 his collections arrived at NYFW, until now.

This collection was mixed with textures, different fabrics and prints. The impression of the firsts looks on the catwalk was a body full covered with tattos in geometric clippings, super bold.

The entire collection has the black color, giving a super “gothic-bold-dark” look. All the other colors around and mixed with the collection contains this heavy apparence.

Fur, velvet, “wet aspect” and fluid fabrics was the choice of the japanese creator for this collection. He wanted to give a sexier-glam visual for the very feminine women.
